The purpose of this grant is to ensure every child in Wyandotte County has positive childhood experiences, recovers from traumatic experiences, and builds resilience to prevent future traumatization.
Grant range: $10,000.00-$75,000.00
Success of this RFP will be assessed through the lens of our desired results:
- Children and youth are healthy and safe.
- Families are strong and supported.
- Communities experience optimal well-being.
A strong application will:
- Clearly define the connections between the proposed organization/program/project and one or more of the desired results outlined above.
- Show evidence of collaboration/connectedness with other organizations/system-wide initiatives.
- Consider the lens of empowering and investing in initiatives led by Black, Hispanic, and other youth of color, recognizing that young people know best what they need to feel healthy and safe.
- Highlight the relationship between Community Connectedness, Violence Prevention + Intervention, and Youth Social/Emotional Supports. Applications should directly align with at least one of the RFP focus areas.
